A few projects from our portfolio include:
- A $1 million grant awarded to Kettering University from the US Department of Justice’s Byrne Criminal Justice Innovation program (BCJI) to reduce and prevent crime along the University Avenue Corridor
- $450,000 from the federal Building Neighborhood Capacity Program (BNCP) that leveraged $450,000 from local sources to build resident capacity in Flint’s northside neighborhoods
- A $500,000 Choice Neighborhoods Planning Grant from the US Dept of Housing and Urban Development to redevelop the Atherton East public housing complex on Flint’s south side
- The Strong Cities, Strong Communities (SC2) program which brought in a team of federal technical assistance providers to advance public safety, decrease blight and redevelop brownfields
Other Flint clients include the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, the United Way of Genesee County, Carriage Town Ministries, North Flint Reinvestment Corporation, WOW Outreach and the Greater Flint Arts Council
